Worth doing before you hang it
Follow the flowing line. Choose decorative prints with organic, curving forms: florals, figures and nature motifs in the style's soft, muted palette.
- Ornate or slim gilt frames. They echo the style's decorative, flowing lines.
- Lead with one or two larger panels. Then curve the smaller pieces around them.
- Sage, dusky rose and gold. A soft, muted palette feels authentic.
- Look for floral and nature motifs. Figures too, in the spirit of Mucha.
- Avoid a rigid grid. Gentle, organic placement suits the curving forms.
